Question: 1181-4214
Someone gave me a package of Forget-Me-Nots seed. Can I plant them now? Rene, East Greenwich, RI

Mort's Answer:
Someone forgot to tell you that they are treated like annuals and should be planted in the spring in zone 6. They can be treated like biennials and planted in protected beds this fall. If you do plant Myosotis arvensis now, do not use fertilizer after they have started. Acclimate them to the cold before the frost comes and then cover them with straw. Germination will be diminished when seed is a year old. You should have enough plants to satisfy the request.
