Question: 958-2513
I have cherry and apple trees that I planted last year. This year the leaves are streaky yellow. I used an organic oil spray before the leaves came out. There is no sign of insects or cuts in the bark. We have cedars in the woods nearby. Dottie, Griswold, CT

Mort's Answer:
You have taken care to prevent insects from crawling up the trees. Unfortunately, cedar rust is wind blown. You will have to use a fungicide. Bordeaux mix is considered organic because it is mined. Captan or benzoate are synthetically produced and more easily obtained, if you don't mind. Follow directions on the packages.
