Question: 1253-1815
Where can I get Brownell Roses? I hear you talk about them on the radio. Arlene, Preston, CT

Mort's Answer:
Check the internet for Brownell Sub-Zero Roses. Different nurseries have sold them over the years. They were originally bred in Little Compton, RI and later grown in East Providence, RI in the late forties and fifties. They were guaranteed to 16 degrees. I was fortunate to buy a Charlotte Brownell at a local food market two years ago. They do not have them this year. I sold them at my nursery and had amazing results growing some in my youth.
